I still wonder why people think jumping into T4 is going to be a magic bullet.

We have so many problems with RvR as it is. Ignoring the obvious ones, we have to consider the fact that the fundamental system of Open RvR used in the game is critically flawed, and it's very difficult to make RvR worthwhile without locking players to one realm (which is almost impossible without implementing extremely unpopular measures) so that people have an incentive to fight hard for one realm, coming up with very sophisticated measures to prevent trading and collusion, and adjusting the RvR system to truly make use of the available space and prevent merry-go-rounding, both within and between zones, and keep trading.

Add onto that that talismans, pots and all the other crap that people love so much won't work correctly, and that we don't even have the fundamentals sorted out yet...

This is pretty much why the other thread was locked. We're not about to just jump into T4 and skip the T2 and T3 metas, especially when half the game is screwed up.

(Oh, and since a comment was made about the bans made: those were agreed to by all of the staff.)

BTW all joking aside you are doing great work I only think the focus is a little off but you know waaaaaaay more about the code problems as far as getting it working and like I also said I was just tired of seeing people complain about t2 not working when I thought T4 should be a focus. and as far as the bans go we are just a little gunshy now thinking every little thing will get us banned if farming pve mobs was bannable.

I don't know what you've heard, but I advise you to ask me about rumours rather than trust the word of other players.

Nobody's been banned for farming PvE mobs on this server unless they were botting to do so. We're not in the habit of banning people for nothing.

As for the issues in T2, almost everything that anyone complains about is relevant to T4 - be it core features, RvR, PvE or abilities. I don't really understand your point.

Our focus is on general server performance and RvR, as must be obvious by how basic the PvE implementations are at the moment. I don't see that changing any time soon. We all want to get higher up in the tiers, I'm sure, but we have to fix the base first.

That's actually the reason you haven't seen rank 21 yet. I won't work on anything new while there are 3 1/2 pages of bug reports on the tracker.

Hmph.

Do you feel that T4 RVR will ever use all the zones?? I think there is just way to much space to not lock all the zones but one like you are doing now or make it so you have to unlock one zone to get to the next for a reward and have this be the mech instead of city.
