If you wanted sc's to contribute towards zone locks, what about using the ranked system where teams of 6 could queue up and fight other teams of 6 to earn points to contribute towards their realm for zone capture. (even this I couldn't see working because people would just queue on the side that's stacked with the best players)
I wouldn't link the currently scenario system to zone capture just because of the toxicity it would create by telling people to not queue scenarios or if they did they would be flamed in chats because of a chance they could face a premade and actually end up losing points for the realm and therefore removing content away from people, where the group ranked system can be its own thing.
As for pq's adding to zone contribution, who would actually go and do them? they're boring as hell and offer no rewards and isn't there enough pve in the rvr lakes these days anyways.
