It certainly would give those that weren't here to abuse the "salvage free decimator for high end talismans" a chance to compete on equal footing.
Seeing +19 / +20 talis when the best frags out there now are lvl 22 champs that drop blues is depressing. First mover advantage I guess. Lucky dogs.

Realistically speaking is it even possible to "stop DDoS"?
Sure you can get better "tools" to deal with it and resists it but can you really stop it? I still see dota 2 and other games still suffer for DDoS attacks
Ofc I'm no tech expert so I really don't know if it is possible

No, it's not possible as long as you're hosting something that's expected to have a public interface. DDOS looks like additional traffic, that's all. Even legitimate traffic can affect the software when it's near peak performance.
Plenty of sites have faced what is affectionately known as the Reddit Hug of Death, where something goes viral and thousands of people try to access it all at the same time. Better hardware can be put in place to handle higher loads of traffic. Cloud-based providers tend to provision exactly as much bandwidth as you're expected to use, so when a site gets an influx of traffic they struggle and fall apart until more capacity for traffic is added.
There are lots of different methods for DDOS attacks, some can be defended against, most can't and simply need more resources thrown at the problem until whoever gives up and goes away to bother someone else. These attacks DO cost money, so we can hope that eventually they'll stop wasting money on something that isn't going to roll over because some butthurt nerds on the internet want to throw a fit and disrupt our operations.

It is only missing minor details, and that was a month ago? The issue is lag/ddos, not a matter of being ready. I thought it was a matter of finding the core of the issues with the memory dumping problem, which I have no clue if they are close or not. I would be hoping that its definitely out by the end of next month all things considered.
"Many of have been eagerly awaiting the release of Tier 3 and I cannot avoid this subject. Know that the teams have provided a mammoth task to bring you Tier 3 as quickly as possible. The RvR lakes, quests, a raised level cap with class skills, is prepared and ready to be deployed (missing only minor details). However, because of the lag issues, it does not seem wise to deploy it right away. We hope you will be patient and understand that this choice does not come easy for us.
We want your first impressions in T3 to be under our best possible conditions. Your battles should be more focused on each other instead of with the server overloaded and lag bringing things to a grind. " -October Dev Diary
