Thank you everyone, for sharing their opinion on the matter. Suggestions such as these are always appreciated and help us reflect on our work and the decisions we've made.
With cross faction interaction we try to compensate for the low player base we have at the moment. We believe that disabling cross faction interaction would make the world feel much more empty.
With the above in mind, we currently do not intend to disable it at this time. We will however look into the possibility of disabling it in RVR areas.

Cross faction broadcasts are good (pref own channe and all can readl)
Cross faction tells are bad (tell = to a spec person)
Pvp is all about player player interactions

So if we keep cross faction chatting, let's use it well. Trash talk never bothers me, but I would implore people to avoid it: Some players are younger than others and will be put off by it and discouraged from playing. It's easy to say "if you can't take it don't play," but really that should be the last thing any of us wants. We are all WAR fans and need all the players we can get in this alpha.

Just add a report fun that disables the reported person (above some treshold) for an hour and we are all good. Playerbase will moderate the channel that way

Even more fun if multiple reports turns you into a troll and all your cross faction broadcast say "I'm a ugly troll ... troll troll troll TROLL TROLL!!"
It works trust me

Not gonna happen. It wasn't available in the original game, so it won't be here.

My bet is when they decide to remove it further on a majority of players will ask to have it back. Things evolve simple as that

This would be a viable argument if it weren't for the fact we barely ever meet order outside of RvR. And whenever we do meet them in RvR, stuff like in the example I've made happens. If we had a server-wide chat room for both factions, I'd see your point. And hell, I'd be all for such a thing! I'd love to talk to Order outside RvR, to have more players to casually talk to. But in RvR it leads to nothing but stride and hatred for one another, something that pushes this community apart, I fear.
Just imagine if we had cross faction interaction in the actual T1 lake of 2012-2013; people would be shouting bloody murder at one another each time the battlefront shifted across New Emsrank. Although, it wouldn't matter as much because the community was bigger than on here. Which brings me to my next point; with a small community in which a few people hate each other back and forth, drama can quickly unfold onto a grander scale, which is something that breaks a community, and will cause people to quit if it lingers on too much.
So, in closing; I'd love to see if you could disable talking to the opposite faction over /tell (as this is more of a friends/business thing to do in your own realm, certainly not with the enemy realm) and limit the cross faction interaction in RvR lakes. If anything; disable cross faction interaction on a whole and make a server-wide chatroom. Hell, I'd be fine with -just- a server-wide chatroom, It'd surely add to the experience of the community.
