, so stats showed has no worth to compare. Shaman is nothing to compare AM dps and still people plays DPS shamies, but to play DPS zealot is not a good idea. Thats life

I just find it amusing that the Dps AM has st dots that make Magus/Engi - the supposed DoT classes - look comical.

I wouldnt say that. Let's compare their DoTs based on duration (source:
http://waronlinebuilder.org/).
24 seconds
Magus: none
AM: Transfer Force (1072, life-tap)
Winner: AM
20 seconds
Magus: Withered Soul (1240, reduces disrupt by 5%, increases damage to that target by 15% with tactic), Glean Magic (420, debuffs Spirit Resist)
AM: none
Winner: Magus
15 seconds
Magus: Baleful Transmogrification (835), Seed of Chaos (435), Pandemonium (735, AoE, can be instantly reapplied with tactic)
AM: Law of Conductivity (710)
Winner: Magus (Seed sucks though)
9 seconds
Magus: Mutating Blue Fire (516 + 429), Infernal Blast (576, AoE)
AM: Radiant Gaze (204, reduces damage and crit by 5%), Scatter the Winds (552, heal debuff)
Winner: AM because of Heal debuff. If someone else is applying the h-db, then Magus.
The biggest problem with Magus is that his dots get constantly cleansed (group cleanse). This is an issue for order as well, of course.

IMO it is that heal debuff dot that makes the AM the better dot class. If not cleansed it actually allows the dots to do their job. Magus no such luck. They have to depend on someone else using the debuff or their dots are easily healed through with no thought. I'f never understood by burst classes in this game got the heal debuffs and the sustained damage dealers did not.

I think he means "Scatter the Winds" and "Searing Touch" have a 9s duration, while magus/eng dots have a much longer duration. This is why their dots are more noticeable. Also, no one really uses MBF, and Withered Soul has a cooldown. Oh and as far as infernal blast...that's a cone dot and Pandemonium has a chance of being reapplied, it's not guaranteed.
Edit: By the same token. magus has good burst in t4 (if done right) and I don't think dots are the problem with the class. Lack of utility is the bigger problem + the stupid range requirement on the damage increase buff from the pet.

Endless pandamonium does not "instantly reapply" its a 50% chance to and even then
would some one really use that tactic over other options?

Not today satan :^) and the only time I ever used that tactic was in t2 for the rp farm.

There is a difference between "can be instantly reapplied" and "is instantly reapplied".
I guess some people need reading comprehension classes.

The fact that it merits a tactic slot renders it useless. Withered soul merits the tactic because EVERYONE benefits from that 15% damage increase. You are entitled to your wrong opinion when it comes to the magus class though, I'll still hold mine which is dots are not the problem.

I havent given an opinion on any of those skills, so you can save your witty replies for yourself. I simply compared Magus to AM dots in terms of duration, targets (ST or AoE), damage and utility. In those fields, the only thing AM has over Magus is the heal debuff.
