Pretty solid assumption.
SW or Engi Roleplayers are mostly Single Target Scout SW or Sniper Engis.
Both are fun to play, but don't have any impact on big scale RvR. As soon as Destro pushes they need to retreat.
The Bitterstone Sniper Squad is a fun, chill and shoot destro group that is pretty hillarious if you shoot a goblin who thinks he is out of range.
AoE Versions of the Engi can dish out Damage but can't reach a burst like BW or Slayer do.
The only position where DPS Grenadier or Tinkerer shine is a good Keep Funnel Position or even at the Gate in a city siege.
Even then, Phosphourus Shells and Napalm Grenade, the real good abilities don't stack. Meaning only the strongest in the area counts. It is the same on the Magus Version. So every Engi above the first is just wasting his 2 GCDs and not putting more Damage on Destro. I can't compare it with BW, and which abilities there don't stack.
It is diffivult to keep the Turrets up with the latest changes but when you don't need to run around much you can centrate your damage.
But the Engi needs to stand 10 seconds still to even reach Slayer Level. Not possible in a mobile RvR.
Thats why "The Roleplay Guilds" run AoE WL Groups or Dwarf Warbands with Slayer focus.
The Aoe WL builds are done by Eternal Host with the plan to punce to the backline on command. Maybe some of them might say something about it. OFC fighting vs a full decked out Destro premade you are missing lots of Order synergies. I think there was a video floating around where they are doing it sucessfully.
Slayer Warbands depend on Hard IBs to keep the Slayers alive for that Rampage + Retribution drop. The only advantage is that they get into that rotation faster without the need to wait on M2 on Order that in 9/10 cases get stolen by Marauders anyway. Also Slayers need that Invader Gear to take Advantage of some Armor debuffs.
And yes an Empire Roleplay Guild which kicks out everyone with a Tall Hat could run a full META Warband.
If I would run one it would be full with 2hander Kotbs.
