Return of Reckoning

Now you all got me triggered.

There are 3 ways of you getting gear in this game:

1. PvE only - doing all the PQs, Epic Quests, Onslaught and Dungeons can easily grant you top tier gear which you can compare with Vanquisher and Invader. Also for true warhammer fan is nice doing PvE because you can read the lore (from Tome of Knowledge) explore amazing locations and interact 100% with the game environments. I farmed all the PQs for full influence, got inside all the dungeons and got all the sets from PvE. You may say that all the dungeon fights are the same. Trust me they are not. A successful dungeon run depends 100% or group composition. If you have newbie players, i will be hard. I have more than 60+ runs in Gunbad and 30+ runs in City Dungeons. Not to mention Ch22 for Onslaught. A successful dungeon requires solid composition.

2. PvP only - this game gives you the chance to jump into fight since 1st second after you logged on without restriction. I remember when i was was rank one with the shittiest gear and jumped into RvR fighting and SCs for a better coordinated fights (since you have there objectives and strategies). You can easily don't give a damn about PvE and focus 100% on PvP part of the game. I know guys which were not touching any PQ, Epic quest or even Beastlord. All the items they get are from RvR and SCs and they are happy about it. So no one forces you do PvE so stop whining about BiS gear from PvE because it isn't. I completed also everything from PvP (got all the sets and all the weapons from SCs and to be honest for you it was hard. Hard because it took way more time than expected and fights were going repetitive.

3. PvPvE - you can mix both PvP and PvE. When you got bored from PvP you can go PvE and vice versa. NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO DO ANYTHING. This game is granting you all types of content. You are the only one who can decide. If you are letting the game decide for you, you have a problem. I am playing this game since February last year and soon my "work" here is done (i am saying work because everyday i am logging in with a goal - to achieve this, to complete this, etc - this is the best way for me to enjoy this game). Meaning that i achieved ALL the sets from PvP and PvE. Imagine time invested in getting FULL OVERLORD, FULL INVADER AND BOTH WEAPONS OF DOOMSDAY + FULL INVADER from RvR. All the sets from PvE and all the sets from SCs + weapons (in the times where there were no price reductions). I played like a maniac achieving my goals.

You should be grateful that this game existing and you should be grateful for what Devs, GMs, testers, guild leaders and people are doing for this. If you think that it is easy you are 100% wrong. I know that this game is good and bad on some parts, i know that it's frustrating and amazing in the same time and i know that sometimes is hard to obtain the things you want. But try to understand what is behind everything and try to adapt. Is the best way to succeed.

In the end i will say this: stop whining and do what you like. No one is forcing you to do anything. This game gives you the chance to chose how you want to do it. There is no good road or bad road. All the things depend on you how do you want to do it and the game provides you everything.

In conclusion, go out there in the Warhammer World, fight, explore, adapt, overcome, think, have fun, socialize, be happy, enjoy and the game experience will be awesome.

Its like saying you get full Invader in 9 fort participations.. the first 6 you get all set from gold bags (each bag different piece) and the remaining 3 extra tokens from gold/purple bags.
The real issue is to find a party to do dungeons…

How about +6% crit for WL? Sentinel helm + Sentinel Ring with tali give +6% crit on WL, which is clearly BiS combined with 5 Vanq set. Invader is left in the closet. WLs that have full Invader set, like me, they don’t use it…no one. They use 5 Vanq and 2 Invader, till they get 2 sentinel. Full invader is useless for WLs currently.
And you can guess what will happen with bloodlord, if they put +% crit on a piece other than shoulders and release sentinel cloak for set…
Now invader has +%crit on shoulders, same as vanq, so cant be used both…

Also, what if someone has only 1 hour to play each day? He can play oRvR/sc but he cant do dungeons…

There is a discord for destro called "destro PvE Discord", you can use it at morning to find a group for the evenin;, in addiction I used it to find 5 ppl who do city dungeon with me every Saturday night at 9 PM (always the same five, to be clear). Tools are here, just use them!
About time: that a real problem, but non of RoR, it's your!
You will have problem playing every serious MMO if you have only one hour to play a day. I play less then 10 hour per week but I'm full Sentinel

People with such time constraints are not going to play at the top end of the food chain anyway, their own expectations on what to archive in a MMO have to fit to their playtime. Casual players are not meant to min-max get the last few % of power progression and as a fact, the talisman jewel isn't deciding fights alone, other factors are way more important.

Of course that they can do dungeons. if they know when they are logging in, have a trustworthy group so that they clean the path for him. He will just log, get the boss and logout. Is simple in theory.
Practically, no one wants to do this because the 6-men will not disband just for one to get the last boss without enjoying the road to that.

I dont personally mind doing PvE to get some gear pieces, and thank God for that. Because my endgame setup will be heavily PvE-gear like atleast 8 of my item slots will be Best in slot for me coming from PvE sources on BW for the oRvR build i want to run.

So my biggest concirn is not with how well pve gear is, it is with the fact that Gear in general are not very well rounded in terms of how you obtain it and then use it.
Example BW Invader might be okayish for singletarget spec, but you dont obtain it with singletarget spec. you obtain it with largescale and therfor Aoe spec.

Now if oRvR gear actually provided sets built for orvr, scenarios gave good smallscale bonuses, and pve was some sort of alternative then gearing would make a whole lot of sence to me. But ill suck it up one way or an other to get my Min/maxing done. While shaking my head.

(PS BW invader is still imballanced in terms of how you get the 7piece proc for largescale, compared to how sorc get the proc. See my invader feedback post)

I think most players appreciate the work that goes into this server but we also as a community have the ability to give our input no matter if you agree or not because the people behind this server have asked and given us the right to do so. If they didn't care what others had to say they would just do what they wanted and tell you deal with it. To say we should just accept what they give us as gold is not the right approach. Not everyone's idea is a good one and is why we as a community have the options to voice our opinion and change the game for the better.

PVE/SC gear should not be superior to ORvR gear bottom line. This is a ORvR based game. That’s what makes this project unique. Many of us left other MMOs for this reason. And again...can easily leave this if we find ourselves treated like second class citizens. Yes there are many who enjoy the pve, I get it. But please don’t try to pacify us RvR types. There are many MMOs out there that fills that niche. I don’t care if pve/sc is equal, just don’t make it necessary for optimized builds. That’s a huge turn off. Make it a choice for those who wish to dabble away from RvR.

Pve is not superior so orvr. Everyone is free to take what they want . If you do only ORvR you can get best gear and mix them for min/max
