Queues based on archetypes? This will lead to no SCs opening at all because there will be missing a tank or a healer most of the time.

Potential solutions:
Put up a force field like in city end fights aka see-through walls that can only be used from one side.
Put the spawn up higher.
Put the guards in front of the spawn instead of in it, leading to a larger radius of peace.
Put a diminishing return on renown points and drop rates for kills. If someone was killed more than e.g. 5 times, his drop rates will decrease.
Put up a reward for every SC that was won and can be traded for extra gold (to buy items from the AH).
Put up an auto-aim system for the guards for whenever more than 3 players got killed more than XXX times, the enemy player with most kills/dmg will get hunted down from guards as soon as they are 200 feet away.

Just some ideas. Most of them will probably take too much time to implement.

It could just be 1 healer and 1 tank per group minimum, IDK about you but I would rather wait then get put in an SC with no chance of winning. Right now it's just kind of a lottery if you are pugging, and since destro has the more attractive healing classes you will find that more than not they have more healers in their pug groups.

Force fields and guards etc... only go so far, and won't stop players from just plain giving up and afking or leaving the scenario. There needs to be increased incentive to try when you are underdogging, but of course not to the point where sandbaging becomes a legit strat to farm items, rr, etc...

Most of the stuff in this thread we are coming up with is "just for fun" speculation and theories that the devs obviously can't prioritize 1st over anything. I would honestly just cum in my pants if we got an sc vendor and tokens, and working party ques.
Spoiler:
Working party ques that prioritized Premade vs Premade

why would he? Just offer tokens for winning a sc?

Nope!

There is really no problem to start a sc with X tanks heals or dps as long as both sides get same setup. Just start whatever the weaker side can match instead of todays random setups which enable spawncamps

Let's assume you need two tanks (flagged as tank - needs new system) and at least two healers (flagged as healer). That would be problematic for players that aren't able to play during prime times. They will probably have long queues. And, to shorten the queue, you would need some sort of mechanism to show which archetypes are needed so that someone can relog or whatever.
Seen this concept in wowf2p in a much larger community and it didn't work out, that's why I'm so sceptical.

They do this in swtor ladder arenas. There its only 4v4 though balancing 12v12 would be more problematic

No you don't need 2 tanks and 2 healers you just queue dps, heal, tanks seperately and launch whatever SC the "smaller" side can match so a 12dps/0/0 vs 12dps/0/0 would be possible if no tanks or heals are on. That would be infinitly better then launch 12dps vs a mixed team (for the side wo healers)

Why is this worse then having FIFO random teams that launch turd SCs?

Why would you rather play a spawncamp then wait a bit longer for a potentially balanced SC?

Spawncamping will happen even if you have tanks and healers around. Face a full premade without having one on your side and you won't have much fun, even if it's balanced archetypewise.

I've seen many "premades" loose to a balanced PUG and ofc spawncamp will happen when sides are uneven

this is the myth why spawncamping happens ^^
