Return of Reckoning

I agree that a win should always reward an insignia, or at least, the bar should be very low.

Sometimes it's hard to even get a game at 700+ with the current pool of players. Gating Insignias might make more sense in the future with a larger population but as it stands now, I don't think it's too helpful.

Everyone can get the ring now anyways, so Ranked should realistically be a shorter route for individuals motivated to try a competitive game mode. There can always be more rewards added for insignias later (Do I smell Sovereign weapon appearances?) or even make the Insignias themselves seasonal.

Fairly good experience with this so far but as some of my teammates pointed out my gear is not good enough (bloodlord/tri) at rr75. It will be another 6 months or so before I can get that damned tri ring, perhaps I will give this a try then.

Agree with that. Can also understand the reluctance, there isn't much additional content the devs can release now that LOTD is out there (LOTD PQs would be nice one day). So keeping rewards low extends the life of the content. Problem is, I think participation will sometimes dictate it is needed. If something feels unrewarding, it's not going to get off the ground imo.

As long as there are those who continue to play with their RR80+ characters despite having the ring, obtaining the ring will take more than 6 months Within 6/8 months, normal crests already accumulate.
