Btw, isnt 6 the grp size in RoR? Coincident? I dont think so!
Groups can be as large as six... as small as two. They can even be converted to as many as 24. They are not restricted to archetypes... or level.... or location.
I think you are on to something though. If a parameter exists in game then clearly it must be viable - after all, it can't be coincidence that it exists in RoR right?
With that said, how about that Repel Blasphemy. Or the entire witch hunter tree that it exists in. It's in the game. It exists. Coincidence?
Wait ... what? Mind Blown!

Yes yes GM's. Please come hither and deal with some posts in here. Some of us were discussing RB on Witch Hunters and related abilities on witch elves.
Others were busy posting pictures and talking about avocados & salt.
Oh - and GM's, while reading my request, please picture that I am Lord Grantham from Downton Abbey giving you this request as though you were Mr. Carson - my personal Butler.
That seems to be the tone that some think works around here.

Typical thread with typical "lel git gud scrub and 6v6 me bcoz I hav a massiv e-dong" posts.
Nothing to see here, folks, move along!

Dude, Boss 5 was legit. Some combinations of the mobs were brutal. Add the bugs on top of that (such as dead Warriors guarding healing mobs) and it was sometimes tricky haha.

First of all, I'm glad to see that you have someone of good sense filling your signature.
Second, You're asking to put 100% parry on a Core Ability. Many Witch Hunters didn't touch RB in the End because BaL was awful against high armor and they wanted to have the heal debuff.
If you were to put a mirror to RB where PA is in the tree, would you use it?

Mhm salt.
What I find interesting - people discounting entire trees of classes as useless because the abilities have no group synergy (i.e Bretin's comments on RB and the witch-hunter tree that contains it).
The question must be asked - Was mythic just trolling when they made that tree? It clearly has no group synergy use right? So why was it made? Why would mythic build an entire tree around abilities that would be utterly useless in group play?
Or is there some greater force at work here? Did mythic perhaps believe their massive multiplayer online game should be multi-faceted? Not just contained to 6v6? (btw - I'm a 6v6 brony. #6's for life. So I find it repulsive that other forms of game play exist... but as a matter of devil's advocate I feel compelled to bring up these repulsive ideas).
I dunno - Seems odd to me. Non-viable group play trees on a # of classes. What were the original developers thinking? I mean just look at RB... it is so obviously not a group play ability. Right?
The "appealing to greater design" argument never works, for numerous reasons:
- We're interested in abilities that are useful in any PvP, and the White Lion alone tells us that Mythic didn't design every ability they created around PvP
- Even if Mythic were considering PvP, coming up with unique concepts for so many skills is difficult - let alone ensuring they all synergize or are even useful
- Game developers seldom, if not never, create a perfect set of skills which are balanced and useful when the game is played as well as it possibly can be, even if they are actually trying to - which we can safely say that Mythic weren't
That said, the point being made about the Confession tree is that it sucks
at everything. Its entire principle makes no sense if the WH is the platform for it. Why the hell does a WH want AoE skills?

I feel dumber for reading this thread. GG
RB is fine as it is in a bad tree and is only good for soloers for that extra survivability if you get caught out of stealth. That's about it. There are way better abilities to take from a WH than RB. I would take Seal of Destruction way before I even look at RB.
Oh also, WH/WE not viable? They clearly need pounce.
