Re: Questions regarding Leading Shots and Dity Tricks

I'd expect them not to stack as they are counted as buff/debuff and based on the fact that CS (also buff/debuff) don't stack with Challenge

They both reduce your damage to 70 and 75%, so unless you are really asking for it to reduce your damage by 30 and 25% making it a better version Distracting Bellow, they already stack, its just it takes the better value and puts it at 70%.Bozzax wrote:If EV and CW debuff stacks then challenge debuff and CS should stack as well? Confusing tooltipp it is. Did you test it yet?Sulorie wrote:Shall I tell you something? The WE crit debuff is NOT additive, it works like critrate*0,75. Similar to the BG chance to be crit reduction.
You're welcome. ;^)
When it works like this here, then it is not working as on live, not tested it here. It was a crap tactic and nobody used it. The tooltip is a trap.Bretin wrote:Confusing tooltipp it is. Can Azarael probably confirm that it works like that?
I find it very very hard to believe would be nice with some proof that "attacker crit bonus" was calculated in any other way then adding together all the attackers modifiers (gear, renown, buffs, debuffs)Burglir ....
critical hit rates are affected by defenders initiative vs attackers rank, in the following way:
(7.5*<attacker effective rank>+50)/<defender initiative>/10
you then add any crit chance modifiers from the attacker, and subtract any crit chance reduction the defender has:
((7.5*<attacker effective rank>+50)/<defender initiative>/10)+(<attacker crit bonus> - <defender crit reduction>)
It does NOT work like that. It's subtractive on RoR.Bretin wrote:Confusing tooltipp it is. Did you test it yet?Sulorie wrote:Shall I tell you something? The WE crit debuff is NOT additive, it works like critrate*0,75. Similar to the BG chance to be crit reduction.

Personally, I find this direction counter productive to how a Marauder excels in a premade. Currently, I'm sitting at 6.5% chance to be crit with the Zealot Willpower/Initiative buff. You don't excel at doing damage or burst currently in this tier and your primary job is suppression and lock down on the main target. You are there to debuff for your Choppa or WE and you need to be able to take some hits as you wade through the lines for the primary target while your defensive tank keeps the Choppa/WE protected. This would allow your group to run a semi offensive tank for extra utility that those spec lines offer.Coryphaus wrote:you know i was really hoping that with the removal of rr100 and all that DF/WF stuff that ttk would be higher but it looks like the crit meta isnt going anywhere.Penril wrote:

As an mdps i really dont have the liberty of stacking initiative as i need str/ws/parry (nor can i find useful gear that has any) and all that which is funny cause my mara who as a class has one of the lowest initiatives in the game currently has 23% chance to be crit, 33% when feeding on fear will be active then 53% under kotbs grp crit to a potential 68% with leading shots? and this is with out factoring initiative debuffs
My math could be wrong but the story is still the same
nah the tactic is not OP nor does it anyone really use. i think it's fine as it is tbh and making it a 25% of the enemies total crit chance would just make it utter garbage.Azarael wrote:It does NOT work like that. It can work like that if required, but only if that is justified.
