Is your launcher in the same folder like the WAR.exe and not in a special folder?

Run launcher as Administrator, make sure the FOLDER (not the launcher!!!) isn't set to "read only".

This can be done by right clicking the game folder > properties > uncheck "Read Only" > OK.

@ shadow509. Next time I will not help you. Slacker.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you folks for creating a WAR private server, I truly enjoyed this game, and was saddened to hear of its demise.

Secondly, I downloaded all 10 parts of the game, and have them saved in a folder titled Return of Reckoning. Winzip will only open the first download, the Age_of_Reckoning_Client. It won't touch z.01 through z.09. What do I need to do to get them to all unzip? I'm not the most tech savvy person in the world, so I apologize.

Edit: I re-unzipped the first file 'Age_of_Reckoning_Client' and it spat out more files than before. I then moved the launcher that I downloaded into the same folder as the WAR.EXE is located. When I tried to connect using the launcher, I got this.

Error starting: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Return of Reckoning\Warhammer Online - Age of Reckoning\WAR.exe' is denied.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost)
at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy)
at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode)
at RoRLauncher.Client.patchExe()
at RoRLauncher.Client.Handle(PacketIn packet)

What does this mean?

Also, after I posted this, I discovered these four files on my desktop. Hashdictionary.dll, ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll, MYPHandler.dll, and mythloginserviceconfig.xml Do these need to be moved into specific folders? I ask because they weren't on my desktop before now.

Edit 2: Never mind, I downloaded a missing file, and it works now!
