Ok i got the maths wrong, but the point still stands its not going to mitigate 75% like the m4 would i dont even think it would mitigate 25% more, its just not that good.

And in a 6v6 its not about how much dmg you can do over time its about bursting within a window of time, best window u can have is to cc the healers, punt the tank and cc the person you are trying to kill, best window u will have is about 3-5sec's at max in that time doing your m4 would not help at all really where as the 75% less dmg would save that person.

Aswell there are alot of mara's that run with lil to no WS as they just have the tactic and the armor debuff armor debuff at 40 was about 1800 + tactic 50%.

And on order side if they have a IB its about the same on the armor debuff + the high WS pen + you sometimes you would have the combo of WH/slayer at that point your m4 would be as good as a wet paper bag.

The point is stacking armor to god knows what ( m4/zealot or even armor tals/pot/dok ) the best thing to do is have a dok and a pot and then if you want to stack something stack toughness, the dok M4 is fine but losing that M4 from a tank to get armor is just bad thats why no one who was good ran it, all the tanks ran the m4 they get basic as its just way to good to give up.

I think I have a more clear picture.
Apparently, according to your experience on game mechanics, armor becomes a poor parameter in defense roll. So it's better 10 seconds as a King Tiger than 30 with a bulletproof vest. In a way I start to share this point of view, since in scenarios 10 seconds against a melee train are really long and better nullify any armor penetration, spell or ability with flat damage reduction.
And now a tricky question, that may change my decision.

Does m4 damage reduction work against other morale drops?

Example.

River rats guild and their clown dressed bomb crews drop BW m2 rush. I drop my base m4.

Will I emerge from molten ground, laughing and cleaving their bones and their hopes or will I be a smoldering corpse on the ground, under the disappointed stare of Tzeentch?

Morale dmg are always unmitigrated. I don't know if Absorbs can take em tho. Anyway The Defensive M4's arnt that great in 6v6. DfV isn't worth using tbh.

Think it's a google translated messege. And i think he means that requesting a build for such old game is crazy since everything has been tried (wich it has not) and the meta is set in stone (wich it is not) When it's a class that just spam Ravage (Chosen hasn't been a Ravage spam class for about 6 years)

Morale Damage will always hit completely unmitigated by any reduction or absorb. If the spell states it will deal 1800 damage to you, then it no matter what you do, will hit you with exactly 1800 dmg. It bypasses everything. From Resi, to morale mitigation or 100% block, over to any form of Absorb - Nothing can stop it.

And yes, the example with the Tiger and the Vest may be not really a good one, but I personally would always prefer a constant Bulletvest
