The rested exp is already good enoughWuhh wrote:its not a special reward. its rested bonus
and yes a reward on toons you don't play very often, to encourage you to revisit them once in a while, to add variety for the player and the fellow players of the game
You are conflating reward with entitlement. The real question is: "why should the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many?"Wuhh wrote:like I said for playing the game.
There's really no right or wrong way to play an MMO, everyone has their own personal flavor or preference. But to your point, you made it quite clear that you have a specific audience you want to target, which is fine since you all are running this server and really, that is the only answer that is needed to avoid any further threads involving suggestions to increase XP.wargrimnir wrote:Right then.Garrus wrote: Problem is, the quests reward almost null xp (it's far better to grind mobs over and over xp and time wise), PQs are not fun because no ppl play them most of the time and solo gets boring quickly. Then there's t1 lair that after 16 can't be accessed (and it could be the coolest content until t4).
Also, please don't say I'm on my 15th alt when I just mentioned a few posts ago that I only just began and am on my 29 lvl. This alt I am making is an effort to try something different because of the grind getting seriously boring after doing same thing over and over. I wouldn't mind xp grind if there was PvE stuff to do, but from everything I have seen so far (from the eyes of a new guy) it's really lacking in PvE.
If you're grinding mobs, by definition, it should feel grindy. You're not doing anything of consequence. If you find that boring, why are you playing an MMO?
If you do the quests, they will take you from camp to camp, leveling you up appropriately as you go. If you find that boring, why are you playing an MMO?
As per my previous post, if you group up with 2-5 other players in your level range and tackle some of the content that's slightly more challenging, you will be rewarded and level up as well. If you don't want to group up in order to optimally advance through the game, why are you playing an MMO?
We're not exactly aiming to cater to the lowest common denominator like some other mass market MMO's are trying to do. We don't make money off this game, and would honestly rather have players looking for the experience we're offering which is significantly more hardcore than some of the theme-park solo adventure MMO's out there.
