The biggest problem is that it wont attack if the Owner is not in meleerange with its target. Which means you cant send the pet out to pull or KD etc etc. It also returns 9/10 times if the target runs out of meleerange.

^^Yes, hence unplayable at the moment.
Add to that their sudden ability to disappear without warning. I have even observed a new bug where the pet locks with a target and a few moments later it will disappear, or at least i've not seen that bug happen before.
I've said it before in this thread and i will say it one more time, the 15 second CD on this pet is given all the issues with AI/pathing/low survivability unacceptable from a balance standpoint. Should have been 5-10 second cooldown from the beginning(and tactic that increases player damage upon pet death modified to match the new CD of course)
All we can hope is for a patch that is well tested before releasing it ( like a public ptr test). Right now only the Loner build i still viable ( which is the most boring thing in the entire game imho).

All this. I hope (if any) a Dev is looking at this post. I just made this toon, and would have opted for a Marauder if I knew the pull was this broken.

+1 - WL pet is absolutely busted and just leads to frustration when using it.
Biggest issues for me:
1. It won't chase anyone when commanded to (just sits there if I haven't hit them already)
2. Randomly moves around, most times not even attacking.
3. Disappears / de-spawns itself constantly.
As a fresh 66RR WL, I basically only run in AOE mode which is pretty boring hitting essentially 2 abilities. Has me thinking I should've stuck with BW on the order side but I am currently succumbing to the sunken cost fallacy.

On a positive note it should be added, that if a WE attacks me, the pet will continue to attack her till death even if she manages to restealth, also via pet you can actually AOE that area it attacks to help the pet kill the WE.

Tbh anything is more fun than a WL loner, in the past at least it could spam Pounce with zero CD( once upon a time it was 60FT range and spammable that gave Loner WL a few hilarious moments in the spotlight)
Without the pet all the utility that imho makes the class fun and worth playing is lost, it may be strong as Loner in a WB but dear lord you're spamming the same 3 buttons lol, 100% braindead class without the pet lion.
