Before the patch, all of the XP and RP was copied into the pool, leading to massive total XP and RP gains for healing classes. Now only 1/4 of the XP and RP is copied therein.
Aha server is up, welcome back
And as for a change above, mixed on it.
From one hand, healing did gave lot of RP.
From other hand, it was same back on live- on my zealot even with RR x2 lvl, I hit RR cap several times. Reason being to actually convince healers to heal- because why would you go heals, if going dps you gain same RP while having lot more fun.

The key mistake is, xp/rp for healing is not shared between all group members like it was on live. All seem to earn it individually. Furthermore the rewards for healing are based on the amount of healing the target in combat received. A solo healer who has nothing to heal, earns only little rewards. The same healer in a group gains low healing rewards, shared with the group and all shared kill rewards.
A solo healer who heals a lot earns a lot without sharing it. Same for solo kills by other chars.
The whole reward distribution is not like it has to be. The huge rewards for healing were only a symptom, not the cause.

- 1/4 of the XP and RP earned from combat will go into the XP and RP pool for a player (the pool that healers draw from when they heal that player), instead of all of it
Do not wonder why many of heal go spé dps

I don't quite get it.
If you're in a group, the kill XP is split anyway, so you're not getting any less than the DPS are. You still get more than everyone else does, because only you have access to the healing pools.
Some of you seem to believe that playing healer is a job for which you require some kind of special compensation.

In theory, helping your team and all that.
Practically- who actually cares about a pug team he joined in scs, and who will actually want to play a healbot instead of actually fighting, when reward for it is same or barely bigger then for fighting?

this is a false argument, if you dont like being a healer DONT BE ONE. Chosing a class should never be tied to what rewards awaits you.
