Return of Reckoning

I think many people have returned to the game now that T3 is up, new playercap would be welcome, trying to login for over 2 hours now.

Just make server cap 1200 to get everyone. What could go wrong?

Also, the trouble is that on the weekend there are North/South American players on at the same time as well. Everyone at once.

1. 2 servers will eventually fill up.

2. MONEY! server costage.

3. lots ppl = lots lag

4. mythic ignored the non f2p situation.


Upside: eastcoast yanks won't get screwed for getting into server at end of the work day as westcoast euros are peaking for god knows how long either side of 8pm-9pm.

Say I'd host another server, does it work with Mono?
How much traffic is to be expected?
How much bandwidth per player?
What's the server load @800 players right now, and what hardware?
What about asking for donations to keep the server running?
Is the data open source too?

Cap 800 and still full? Now imagine the population after t4 :O

Trying to log since 6 hours !!! Cap was 750 at T2. Should be 1350 at T3 and server cap T4 at 2000.
