A legitimate system to encourage people to stay on one side instead of relogging. If the first thing any player thinks about is how to exploit a particular game mechanic it makes me sad a little bit.
See this is why we can't have serious discussions about suggestions, because people just drop in their "brilliant" ideas without looking for weak points.
Before you make a public suggestion, try to break your own idea, find loopholes and fix them. The let others find issue you might have overlooked.
Do we need a guide how to make suggestions?
Of course you cap the bonus but it doesn't address the core problem. People can already have 400% aao but only organized groups use it. More and more bonus just speed up progression to absurd levels for a small part of the population.

Here's my "brilliant" idea: remove visual component of AAO buff. AAO will remain the same, but it won't be showing.
Many people get discouraged by aao. Almost any siege stops when the attacking side gets 20% aao, then people start to log out.
Rember how persistent a siege could be before aao was introduced?

Actually had the same thoughts, some just don't even bother running for the defence, once they seen that blue buff.

On the other hand however, without 400% buff I won't know when to go on my famous WH client-crushing ganking spree
