could care less about the gear and medallion's.... T4 was rocking 24/7 last few days, right now its dead as a post.

People need time to adjust their mindset. Problem nowadays is everyone chooses instant gratification over hard work and patience. Players want their items NOW not tomorrow, they want to fully gear NOW, but it's not how games should work and the dev team is taking the steps in the right direction.
There won't be anymore afkers about now so that's why you're gona feel like there is less people, but the people that Will stick about Will be the guys u can relly on to want to capture the keep.
The only small issue i see here is, defending is way superior to attacking, since from my knowledge you cannot use siege weapons to attack, correct me if im wrong. So it kinda imbalances the whole attacking keeps aspect and makes whole warbands camp inside keeps and just wait, at least thats what i experienced yesterday. Maybe you need to make taking keeps a bit more rewarding than defending, since defending them is easier.
Otherwise i think the patch is headed in the right direction, keep up the good work.

Defending should be easier imo otherwise no one defends. You are right that it can't be to easy though since then no one will attack either.
They'll continue improving the RvR system I just can't be perfect out of the box especially when rushing T4 like this.

a salyer solo against 12 exact live nearly a second . dat def atank survived 40 secons without heals or pots ...
if he get heals we never bring tham down .
mayb some good tank players can say something about that
