You have the ability to recruit new people change from a 6man to a warband, you have the ability to coordinated with other smaller groups, you have the ability to build the 6man to purposefully take on larger numbers, and you have the ability to think outside the box on how to attack a "zerg". There is nothing significantly different on RoR that prevents smaller groups from taking "zerg"s on, only your own willingness and ability. If its really true that all those in the "zerg" have no skill, surely it should be easy for your elite group to wipe them?peterthepan3 wrote: that's cool. you do you, I'll do me. thinking of ways to wipe a zerg as a 6man - good one. perhaps on live, but not on ror.
I don't enjoy blob. I don't enjoy laggy mass aoe fests with no semblance of skill or cohesion required. I'll look for fights that I do enjoy, if it's all the same with you. drop the holier than thou attitude m8
Those "300" moments are some of the best moments you will ever have in gaming. If you are simply playing for progression and/or gear, then run away to an empty zone, but don't bitch about others doing exactly the same thing. You want fights? Then grow a pair and go fight someone; all the effort you spent whinging could be directed towards something productive.sanii wrote: Especially on primetime when there is more then enough people around to facilitate a primary effort zone and a secondary one it makes 0 sense to bang your head against the zerg and the slideshow in this almost 'heroic' way you are describing.
No there wasn't. Prior to the rr100 cap increase, WAR's gear progression was one of the best in any MMO, both by design and convenient bugs.sanii wrote:And on live drastic gear discrepancies( and i mean DRASTIC between the lower and upper end of the spectrum), and for a long time uncapped aoe made vast differences in how and how much you can kill.
Once you fight off a "zerg" four times your number, small-scale will be alien to you as well. 6v6 in WAR is pointless: the game is designed for large-scale fights, other games do it better (even Wrath of Heroes for crying out loud), and having a split focus between large and small scale undermines RoR as a whole.peterthepan3 wrote:no offence, but it's as if the entire concept of people preferring smallscale encounters is alien to you. =P
