Since guard is a 0 strength attack technically, 4 WS is x4 more than guard’s “Offensive” stat so, I guess, that’s why it gives you 25% parry. And 25% from WS alone is a cap otherwise you could push 100% parry against guard with WS.
Ah you refer too guard ok i tought you meant normal attacks...thats reassuring and interesting, so is default 25% ....DanielWinner wrote: Wed Mar 27, 2019 4:03 pmSince guard is a 0 strength attack technically, 4 WS is x4 more than guard’s “Offensive” stat so, I guess, that’s why it gives you 25% parry. Against real players with let’s say your WS being 1050 and your opponents strength being 1050 you will get 7.5% parry.
If no one plays SnB (which i believe is not true) then maybe some past changes should be reverted. A few that come to mind are Encouraged Aim and Tree Hit Combo being usable only in 2H, or having shorter CDs on some skills with a 2H than with SnB. When i was part of the team i remember a certain someone's aim was to make 2H more attractive, which ended up with several unnecessary SnB nerfs (and 2H buffs, like 2H BG getting a KD and other stuff).tazdingo wrote: Wed Mar 27, 2019 4:57 pm 7.5 is still nothing to sniff at i guess. are the numbers the same for init vs bal/wp vs int?
also toughness should *cough* contribute to block *cough* this would clear up the "why is nobody playing snb anymore" debate
This is the most troubling thing, the same people who wanted to make Melee SW a thing, created a total monster and the only way to "fix" it was giving everyone 35 ini for free is now trying to make "dps tanks" a thing, when they didnt even exist in the first place.Penril wrote: Wed Mar 27, 2019 5:03 pmHaving Toughness contribute to block would only be a band-aid. Probably a pretty bad one. It might be similar to, idk, giving everyone a +35 initiative increase just to counter Initiative debuffs.
Yeeeeee boiiiii you tell emPenril wrote: Wed Mar 27, 2019 5:16 pm Let me rephrase what i said up there:
- In the past, staff's aim was to buff 2H tanks cause apparently SnB>>>>>>2H. They implemented a lot of changes to fix that.
- Now, their view is the opposite: 2H>>>>>>SnB. Maybe it is because there have been changes in the dev team lately; who knows. In any case, they aim to fix this by nerfing 2H.
My point is: instead of implementing a lof of new changes (namely, 2H nerfs) to undo the damage that past changes did (SnB nerfs), the logical thing to do would be to revert all the nerfs, period. I always read that "nothing is set in stone" and "this is an alpha and we are jus testing" anyway. Well, your past SnB changes were tested and obviously didn't work.
yesss i have been saying this for a while now
