Now with City Sieges, I find myself wondering if I should bother logging in anymore. The community dynamic has changed drastically and this flawed implementation has soured my enjoyment of orvr. I’ll probably follow Wargrimr advice and play something else.

yeah i know what you mean i switched to destro because of the problems you mentioned. It still happens but slightly less.

A good organized fort is not possible to be taken, that is simply because you can still stack infinite Aoe's of different players on one spot, that said, if you have 30 players spamming their aoe constantly on the entrance on each side, you can't even enter as tank, before this problem isn't solved, forts will be thrown again and again.
