This is a good change for offensive specced 2H Chosen (e.g. 6v6) but not good for Shield-wearing defensively specced with the increased cost of Mixed Defences. Feels to me like a small nerf in RvR.

I think that this is a good explanation for something that was obviously a mistake. You don't really need substantial testing to look at an inifinite up-time proc on hit being that strong in any ORvR setting to know that it was overtuned.
To all the destro that are still defending the original change as "not that good, leave it as it was," just .... lol, did u even read the OP here?
In regards to vigilance, I would say that the tactic was meant to not require a shield. Why in the world would a damage reduction be included for SnB tanks? Not really a punishment to have your 100 dmg hits cut to 50 dmg. Yes the icon is a shield but it is also just the same icon as guard, which suggests that guard should then require a shield (oh wait we tried that). My money is on icons being reused by cheapskate EA but thats just one man's opinion.
Chosen's needing to have crit for mid tree does seem backwards. Runefang/DC in right tree needing parry makes more sense since every tank ever stacks parry.

Offence snb chosen, it might work it might not. Plus looks like its low enough in the tree that 2h chosens can get too.
Sounds like a tough choice and build diversity to me. As the player would have to decide if they want full defence snb or have higher crit and be lil less tanky as a true defence tank.

Agreed. Everyone on Destro was musing about how bonkers it was, and it was undoubtedly going to be changed.
But we thought reverted. Not this... weird thing we ended up with?
At the very, very least it should apply to yourself, too.

I would be more than willing to help make that happen.

So you suggest to invest RP in crit, take 2 useless tactics for snb chosen, just to make this reworked ability anyway near viable? Sure -25% crit was just rofl from devs (sure its OP, no idea how it got implemented).
But that rework? Really? For what? on top of just making it unviable for snb chosen it ruined some snb chosen builds due to swap abilities in trees...
I cant see any chosen take this tactic in competative WB's

I sometimes make comments that are not as constructive as they could be. I intend to change, a full consideration of the efforts by the development team to provide this game and make a great effort to make it as playable and fun as possible is something i am thankkful for. I in the future intend to make the best of whatever comes and enjoy a game that a like quite a bit. Please keep up the the thankless effort to provide this game.

Maybe its work in strange spec in small format? but small format is dead
