Just wait until you get to Tier 2, where you get your AOE dots.
You'll get to do 200k+ damage with zero killing blows!

and that's one of the reasons the class was never taken seriously or looked at. There was always some dbag that would say OMG I LIEK GOT 1,000,000 in dmg IM SO LIKE GEWK U GUYS R LIEK NUBS MAGI R FINE.

I wonder where people take the idea that dmg numbers mean nothing? You know, damage doesn't just go away somewhere. Each point of damage must be healed out by someone or people will start dying. A healer may outheal the damage you deal to him, but that just means he won't be healing someone else. Without you doing damage to him he'd be more effective in holding the group. Get it? I really dk how to explain

Group heal. Group HOTs.

I do see what you're saying, and I do agree with it. That said, without some decent direct damage from other sources, your AOE DOTs are simply going to be healed through with little effort.

Personally, I love running with a Magus on my Sorceress, because that AOE spirit resist debuff is fantastic and allows me to burn through people quicker. I feel the Magus is a good utility class.

The only thing that comes close to resembling 'skill' in the scenario boards is a high DB count to a low dmg.

20000K and 2kbs = not effective.
80k and 8 kbs = much more effective.

I really don't know how to teach the underhive.
At least some statements in other threads become clear now.
