i played war from release onward until the renoun pack boost. I do not ever remember influence coming from doing quests in the zone. The PQs on live also took just as long to get influence and chapter ding. Most take three to four complete resets to fill up all three influence bars and its the same here from what I've seen.

Granted most PQs do bug out quite a bit some do work and some seem bugged but that's because mobs spawn away from where they are supposed to since there is no wandering scripts or AI directing them to locations .

If anything on this server the leveling is absolutely faster than live ever was. I used to hate leveling to 40 on live as it took forever especially in the lakes where you were forced to so you could be competitive at 40 with a decent renoun rank. On live if you did pve to 40 and had a very low renoun rank you were either cannon fodder way before the renoun cap increase or you got carried by your guild/friends as you were not helpful in groups with gear on who pvped to 80.

This server is far from tedious if anything the leveling is to fast compared to live.

Are we talking about when the rr cap was at 100 or 80? If at 100 then lvling easy as hell ( do quests and mobs till lvl6 then sc's till lvl10-11 then go do rats in t3 in about 2-3hr's u would be lvl35, then go get the x2 renown book and no xp book and join a wb in t4 or t3 and just grind renown for a few weeks and you would be rr80+.
Now if you are talking about when it was 80 well...... that did take abit of time to get to 35 but only about 1 week ( i would say about 15/20hr's ) then you would go into t4 with really low renown and just ride the zerg till you can get gear, but if u wanted to get to t4 with say 40/40 then gl ganking/farming sc's.

I feel on here lvling is abit slow but fine i can live with that, the only thing i dont like is how long it takes to get rvr gear unless you get really lucky in a zerg and get gold bag after gold bag, my SH is lvl34 rr40 and has 1-2 bits of dev gear rest is meh pve gear.

Weird reason, what about those who back then also had a family?

If people reach the end too quick they will mostlikely stop playing or play a lot less.

Also what "grind" you play the game because you like RVR and PVP, there is no massive need to grind.

I really dislike that people want things to be handed to them. If you work hard you will earn your reward. If you dont wanna put in the hours, you can actually turn to world of warcrap, because that game you can spend 1 hour a day, and be geared fully within a week.
This is Warhammer, and here we fight not only in a war but for our gear!
If the gear progress/lvling would be so easy as you want it then we who put in many many hours into the game daily would be out of content so fast.

On live we were 40/80 with ten guilds and a huge alliance. People came back online each and every day...

It's Warhammer. It's fun. No need to change the original campaign, too, not at all...

And it's much better with the amount of xp/rr gain that we have now. Works smoothly and fine. :)

I agree with the OP. If they increased renown gain and lowered medallion/emblem requirements for gear I think it'd be a great thing as a whole. I have plenty of time to play and don't have the same problems as OP, but I see the merit in making it easier.

We all play this game to fight each other not to grind, correct? So everyone having good gear without grinding medallions forever would only make the player base happier and make them stay longer due to the fact that they can have alts fully geared instead of having to pick a "main" to devote their time.

I'm not suprised everyone isn't on board with this, but I think it would help the server if the whole process was made easier. Generally the only ones who aren't for this are the players who want an edge from time played (because they play constantly) and are a vocal minority (because they do nothing but play and sit on forums). I don't see a reason to cater to people with the mentality of keeping things in their favor instead of striving to get to a level playing field where skill will be the deciding factor. (I say this as a person who plays as much as he wants, as I stated earlier so don't hate). Just my 2 cents.
