You still don't get it. It would be a problem if certain players were "wolves" and the rest were doomed to remain "sheep" forever. But you can change that, almost immediately. The problem is you simply don't want to; the devs should be taking care of that for you, correct?

You will never change the casual player base in this game, they will continue to solo que as long as that option is available. The burden should not fall upon them, it should fall upon game design.

You are advocating for a system that allows grouped players to beat up on solo players as a norm, as if that is just how it should be. I don't get how you cannot see what is fundamentally wrong with that.

I think I know whats going on here. We are dealing with the 7th place ribbon generation. Everybody gets a ribbon and we don't keep score generation.

It would be one thing if there were no way at all for the "casual" to get into a group or to form a group, or no way to use voice coms. They choose not to. They don't want to. I join solo, get in pugs with bad players or low level players, and get stomped too. Then I form a group from players I've grouped with before. No voice coms, and we do OK. We may not win all the time, but we win enough to keep it fun.

Back on topic. There needs to be more of an incentive for players to defend a Keep or BO than the current renown tick and influence to make keep defense/BO defense worthwhile. If the rewards for keep defense were improved there would be more ORVR at Keeps and BOs and less of a merry go round of faction control.

The timer locks on Keeps is good, but only means that a less than stellar warband going against a great warband will never retake a keep and if the rewards are there for defense, the great warband will never not defend the keep, so the lesser of the warbands will probably break up and run SCs.

Which is good cause we need SC pops too.

I think some kind of realm wide bonus to drops would be a good incentive. If you hold 3 of 4 keeps drop up 10% 4-4 20% kinda like they had in gw2 wvwvw. As the week long fight went your server got bonus stats and drop rates for having a higher score. It made the wvwvw a very important part of the server. If your server lost its matchup not only did the PvP players not win the pve players didn't get as many drops.
