That's problematic since first of all we have no seperate queues for SCs as both 12v12 and 6v6, and secondly (if we place the walls for 6v6), we'd have to creature a duplicate instance of the same area; since all scenarios would share geometry data from the same prefab instance, in which case the wall on 6v6 only would also appear on 12v12.

If we could make it both 12v12 and 6v6, we'd have to allow people to punt in 6v6 as well as in 12v12.

no matter how you see it kill 1 ppl with 1 skill is dumb if 12 vs 12 must have a wall too is fine.

No, dumb is being punted over and over and over and over and over and not realizing "gee, maybe i should stick closer to the wall so i don't get punted again".

Leave EC as it is. Pure bloodbath, no-flags, no-objectives, no-punts, just-kill-them-all 6v6 SC should be something like this, if possible (using the Arena from IC):

I am with Penril; I would love a "team Deathmatch" scenario in the form of a gladiator Arena. If we could port that map over and modify it, I think it could be great fun. Especially if you have alternating spawns.

EC was not a pure Team Death-Match SC. It was a Assassinate game mode. I don't believe WAR has a single Team-Death-match SC. Will EC incorporate the "Marks For Death" / Assassinate aspect of the original SC?

We have CTF, King of the hill, "Ball" based SCs, Domination, Assassination, and bomb based SCs. I would like to see a TDM as well as Attacker/Defender Mission based SCs, positions are based around campaign progress.

People should make comments pertinent to the OT as well as ensuring that they subscribe to the criteria, i.e. belong to a 6man that does 6v6, before making posts.

Noone is saying that new 6v6 maps WOULDN'T be a nice addition; but the topic is about EC AS a 6v6 scenario. If EC is designated the 6v6 scenario, then the wall must be put up.

And you should leave that to the moderators. Not sure if you were talking about me or Gobtar; don't know if he premades/6v6 but i do. And Moderators will ignore posts from people who don't anyway.

edit: sorry if i sound angry, but this is like the 3rd time you mention the same thing in this thread. We got it already. ;)

Our posts ARE pertinent to the OT. Our answer is NO to the wall. In my case it is because:

- Punting is part of the game (and a very fun one too)
- Being punted over and over and over and over is simply a (ughhhh) l2p issue. Pay attention to the flow of the fight and where your enemies are and you won't be punted that much.

Finally i gave an alternative for those who have been asking for a blood-bath, no objectives 6v6. A new SC that is simply a small, mostly flat, no pits, no flags, no objectives map where people can beat the crap out of each other. (although Caledor Woods is pretty much this, except for the flag, but if 2 teams just want to fight, they can simply ignore the objective).

TL;DR: Don't ruin an existing fun SC just to cater to those who fail at not being punted. Give them something else instead. And no, i'm not even playing my BG or Chosen. I will stick with BO in T4.

I am not sure if that was directed at me Peter, for the record:
-I run in 6mans. (I run with Exo and Dark Days, and whatever other group Boursk wants me in)
-I queue for CW (with my group).

My post was to formulate a decision of whether or not I would vote based around what kind of game-mode this SC will be: Team DM or Assassination (like live).

on the subject of EC as a competitive 6v6 SC: I think the "tone" of the original SC was the utter brutal nature of it, positioning was key, but it also made for some interestingly fast SCs. The tight map nature of it limits comps, and walls ensures that range players have an even harder time...

Proposition: When you get punted you don't take falling damage...what if getting punted to the bottom just ports you to one of the spawn points. (you kick them out of the fight for 4 or 5 seconds) Anyone who jumped down of their own volition will die however.

This makes the Scenario more strategic, opens up more group comps, but doesn't cheese up the fight. YOu can punt away tanks and not everyone is turteling...Punishes you for getting punted but wont lose you the game.


I would prefer if there was going to be a TDM style SC that it wasn't such close quarters, hence wanting an arena.

I had to watch a Video of EC to even get close to remembering this one.

How that My Memory is Jogged, I dont see what you mean about this Exploit with the "Abyss" ?

If there is in fact a place where you can punt someone to, that is considered an exploit.. what exactly happens if you get punted there?

Do you Die? Teleport to your spawn Point? Get stuck Indefinitely?

Can anyone post a link to a vid showing this issue?


Personally, I would keep it the way it is but whatever this Abyss Issue is, just make it spawn you back at entrance or something. This way you still have a benefit from punting if you are in a good spot to do so, but doesn't disrupt the game too badly.

sorry, I just really cannot recall enough about this SC.

i don't get how you like to play stiked to a wall.....really, what is the fun to play and cannot move freely cos super punt 1 shoot you?

there is nothing to learn is a dumb thing, sy i dont agree.
