In armour 8 levels bellow what you should be wearing the incoming damage will be horrifying. Don't forget that defence is still a thing.

I don't believe that loss of ~500-700 armor and ~50 extra stats is that much to lose for 30% damage.

Depends on where your stats sit after debuffs. The 30% wont count for much if you are to easy to kill.

If you don't consider Annihilator or Mercenary to be an upgrade over Devastator/Duelist, you're welcome to continue using those sets. I also invite you to compare not only the redesigned sets against the old, but also to compare the old Annihilator to the old Devastator. Is the old Annihilator any more of an upgrade from the old Devastator, as the new Annihilator is from the new Devastator?

I think you will find that the gap between Devastator and Annihilator has always been relatively small for many classes.

10% on aoe spam is like always active on something, or even with channeling.

i know just spam and some damage will happen eventually is more than enough..... even do random 30% more damages around is awsome in orvr.

Well I won't pretend that I like these new set's but it's not your job to make me happy :mrgreen: let's just hope that we can quickly move on to sets without these +resist boni.

Anyway for the SW Mercenary set it says:
+ 62 Ballistic Skill
+ 240 Armor
+ 5% Ranged Crit
+ 1 Right Tree
while in the stat totals it is
"+ 57 Toughness
+ 64 Wounds
+ 9 Initiative
+ 93 Weapon Skill
+ 140 Ballistic Skill
+ 320 Spirit Resist
+ 2% Dodge
+ 2% Disrupt
+ 5% Ranged Crit
+ 52 HP/4s
+ 3% Crit Reduction
+ 1 Right Tree"
from the SQ I gather the Armor bonus is correct.

Is the merc set supposed to have tali slots in the helms. I noticed the engi set doesn't, but the IB set does?
