Bags are entirely independent of people in the zone. Your contribution gives you a factor that modifies the roll you make. Your roll needs to be quite high to win anything. Every bag that you don't win adds to your bonus the next time you roll on a bag.
The roll part is RNG, but the bonus is cumulative, so you will eventually win a bag.
So the amount of bags is fixed then? Say 20 white, 10 green, 5 blue, 3 purple, 2 gold whether there are 50 people or 500 in the zone?

Nope. Every single person in the zone could potentially win a gold bag. It depends on YOUR roll and nothing else.

Ok I think I understand now ty. One other question the notes say the gear(dev,anni, conq) drop from kills now is that just boots and gloves like live? or everything?

O no, they gave us a new easier way of earning multiple Conq medallions each zone by defending/attacking BOs, conq boots and gloves drop on RvR kills now, proof your loot roll is increasing when you play, but they took away the singular medallion you get at the end of the zone flip from your white bag that everyone complained about for months. How incredibly unfair.

Something seems off on the zone flip for defenders.. not getting anything: rr, xp, medallions.

not sure if the winners of a zone take are getting exp/rr/inf either, idk though i wasnt on my main when t2 dwarf locked. Didnt see rr gain when i logged back onto him to see if i got a bag from that zone.
if no gain from zone locks sry but very little reason to be in the lakes :/ and scs for me are just a chore so might have to take a vacation from this game

What exactly about the exp/rr/inf from zone locks makes it so superior and required for your enjoyment over the exp/rr/inf gains from playing the game and doing combat/objectives while the zone is active? If it's just the quantity seems obvious that that's a number that can change and be rebalanced into being earned thru gameplay instead of the lock at the end. Did you notice a significantly lower amount of rewards for the time you spent playing compared to that you would have earned in that same amount of game time pre-patch?

Calm down I'm just informing. If it's a bug it'll get fixed. Not like a patch loaded today.
