Hey Guys!
Maybe some of you have heard me talking about reworking some of the Low resolution textures in the advice chat.
Well i just opened this subject here and invite everyone who knows a bit of photoshop and wants to help reworking some of the pretty ugly textures in war.
I know its a lot of work and at this point I havent even figured out how to inject the new textures into the game, BUT....
If anyone knows something useful - and/or wants to help me - feel free to comment right 'ere!

Greetings!

OOOps I forgot something!
maybe it will be possible for us to make more beards/tattoos/faces for the character creation :)

1. You can't really "inject" the textures into the client. You have to unpack the MYPs, manually replace the textures, then repack them.
2. You may not be able to use higher-resolution textures. Depending on how the client's engine (Gamebryo 3) applies textures to the models, it might not be possible to wrap them properly in larger textures. Not sure about this, but feel free to try.

Yeah i know how the repacking works, i just called it injecting (sry fo that)
and i do also know that MAYBE i wont be able to make dem texture files larger (at this point i havent figured out how the crappy gambryo engine handles upscaled textures...)
but you can use some "art-magic" to make them look better even if you dont make the files larger in resolution.
I would appreciate everyone who knows something about it, to comment here ;)

Greetings!

No, not exactly ;)
i wasnt trying to enhance the graphics with shaders.
I am here to gather some ppl that help me reworking some of the crappy war textures by editing them with photoshop/gimp etc....

Greetings!

If this happens, im more than willing to re-download the whole client, damn i'll download it 5 times if we get rid of some of the ugly textures.
