hi everyone,
Just decided to play RoR after months of vacancy. Client game downloaded, unzipped in a specific folder on the desktop and loged. Then I arrive on the main menu of the game but a pop up blocks all my actions and asks me to insert a CD. three choices: cancel, retry, continue and all of them just quit the game ^^
hope you'll have a clue

Did you use the Return of Reckoning launcher?

yep, placed on the specific folder

I tried to put the original cd but of course it justs quit the game too ^^ tried to change the place of the folder, unzipped again elsewhere, tried the adminitrator launch rights too. infact I think there must be a print of my old install of Ror with the original cd of something like that, but months ago when I first played Ror private server all was fine.

I've never encountered the game asking for the disc. Ever.
Can you confirm what version of the game you're running?
RoR launcher is inside the game folder, folder properties "read only" is unchecked", and run as administrator?

1.4.8 version 573, sure of it cause its written at launch.
Already did the read only and all that stuff, infact I post because I found nothing about that problem too ^^ I think it must be a problem coming from my computer. If I find a way to fix that I'll share it

Please do. I've never encountered this, so I am curious to see what causes it, if you ever find out.

You can attempt to copy it to another drive if you have on available in your PC. Instead of C: put it on the E: Drive. You can also try to make a new shortcut for the launcher on your desktop that references the new file path.
