An honest enquiry

I fully expect to get flamed for this post, but i will post it nevertheless because its a genuine question - NO MALACE is intended nor am i trying to be condescending to anyone its something both my hubby and i have asked eachother over the weeks we have been back playing and i wondered what others thought.
There seems to be a huge divide in game between old players and new and is this somewhat an explanation of how things are not running as they used to (this is not bashing the devs, game, bugs etc i am LOVING the game and so very glad to be back and grateful to those who work so hard to allow us to play) let me explain.
SCs - why does it take someone to say, get the flags/bases/artifact/bauble etc - is it that the new players don't know that's part of the Scenario game play? Are people just so focused on killing the *enemy* for medallions etc that other stuff doesn't matter? - im actually honestly wondering?
Keep takes - I know the WB set up is still broken and its having an effect on the WBs in all zones, but, in a keep defense etc, IF the warband is somewhat balanced, why is there no tank wall/set up for defense 9 out of 10 times - is this lack of knowledge about the best way to defend? or is it a lack of want from players since there is rewards for taking or defending as there was on the live servers? again wondering
By no means am i a brilliant player on any of my classes lol or know as much as a lot of people do about the game but i have played with those i do class as brilliant, and the way they play always works and its always fun - for example - Keep defence --- tank wall funneling order through if they push dps either side working through them, healers and rdps behind, sorcs spamming PoS etc all using morales at the same time to push them back outside etc - all worked towards fantastic gaming and workable defense, instead of just throwing AOEs at the door then running up to the lords room and usually wiping which is what happens most time now.
Do new players know their classes well enough? - for example do all WE's know to go straight after healers? What they can do to be useful in a keep take/defence situation - I ask since 2 days playing my RP saw WEs going for BWs and not me, and im thinking, do players think taking down those who seem to do the most damage is the best course of action, or people STILL hitting tanks, instead of taking down healers and dps etc. Is all this due to a lack of information since not all the information available when the server was live is still around?
I have to say that yes im an older player, and so i think VERY differently to a lot of people in game it seems, but i see a HUGE difference in the gameplay now to when the servers were live and i played. For example, leeching was frowned on by everyone and those doing it to the point when i played that some guilds would kick players who continuously did this, now it seems to be *thats what ppl do* mentality that defends such actions? Kill stealing/loot stealing is mentioned everyday in one of the chat channels, i can barely remember it being done when i played and i played for 4 years on live servers. When and how did the mentality that you join a WB then sit in the nearest WC needing for medallions and leeching xp etc happen? Why do people even log in if they are not going to play the game. When i join an SC i play til it ends, now i see people stood in the starting area, needing for medallions that others are playing for, when did this become the norm and ok, to the point when someone brings it up THEY are the ones flamed?
I guess what im asking is the bad game play that has nothing at all to do with the game still being in Alpha and everything to do with the people playing due to lack of knowledge, that maybe could be sorted by information, or just down to a different generation of players?
