Heaven's Fury / Quake

Question: Was stagger nerfed to 3 second duration back on live? I remember it being 9.
In its current form, it feels useless... actually more of a benefit to the opponent than the user. Any thought to bringing these two abilities up in duration? They introduced great teamplay and coordination when they were longer duration.

stagger was indeed nerfed from 9s to 3
and yes in its current state it is useless
having said that we all know why it was nerfed from 9 s

9 sec OP... 3 sec useless... 5 sec.... Just right

but then what would we change engie and mag staggers to?
they were buffed to 5s right to make the staggers more desirable than the ones on tanks?

Fix their actual dps and it won't matter imo

I suggested this before but was shut down because KotBS and Chosen aren't excactly the weakest class around. Another issue that was raised is that it somehow fills the niche of the Engi/Magus with their 5s stagger.

That 9s stagger was a BEAST. With 3s it seems more of a tool to interrupt a retreat, adjust position, or as a ranged interrupt. It still has plenty of utility. 5s we could start to see the stagger-build melee trains again. As much fun as those are to be on the giving end, the receiving end is so painful. I'm conflicted.
Actually...I really want to make dat skirmish engie stagger-build train.

It still have a plenty of utility as close gap range, interrupt for 3 sec, and kite tool.
maybe up it at 4 sec but not more than that,

Stagger should last 5 secs. 3 was overkill.

Just give them new abilities and don't return the stagger. KoTBS could use a spammable damaging glory ability, Chosen could use something to give them a reason to go Discord over Dread. Like a Vicious Slash clone.
