That issue is a three line fix and is referenced in posts dating back to at least June.

With that being said; the fellow in the screenshot is one of those people who use the aoe spam to attack through the walls. Not a shining example of sportsmanship, to say the least.

Yep its sad, all u see in scens and past rvr events is a bunch of ib's and some engi's spamming bugged skills doing aoe damage, prolly the same shaman/archmage players that have gone missing since the fix to the bunch o waagh and searing touch.

In the interests of evening up the AoE abuse on both sides, the following spammable skills do instant damage PBAoE to all targets within range:

Order:

Ironbreaker: Vengeful Strike, Guarded Attack (~150 damage). Vengeful Strike costs Grudge, so can be used even with no AP and during Flee state
Bright Wizard: Scorched Earth (~100 damage, triggers despite lack of animation)
Engineer: Acid Bomb (~220 damage)
Rune Priest: Oath Rune of Warding (~190 damage)

Destruction (corrected):

Black Orc: Da' Big 'Un (frontal only)
Sorcerer: Surging Pain (~100 damage, triggers despite lack of animation)
Magus: Glean Magic (~220 damage)

If we have Ironbreakers everywhere abusing the hell out of this, it's better if everyone knows which classes the abuse is on.

I've played as a Magus for a couple of weeks and my experience is that glean magic doesnt work at all against enemy players. The animation goes off, but I've never seen any actual damage ever been made.

I think you have to use Glean Magic in melee - then it works.

Correct. There are only three types of ability handler in the game right now as far as damage is concerned:

Direct damage
Damage over time
PBAoE

Therefore any ability with an AoE component becomes a PBAoE.

I must admit, that i used guarded attack to farm pve mobs. I also used it in the beginning to hunt down lil' greenskins while they try to run away (snare is unfortunately not working). But i don't use it anymore in pvp (had a foul flavour winning fights this way...even if they deserve it :!: ).
Now i just kill them with my slayer (less damage, but the snare works :D ).

But two magi/engis spamming their pbaoe-skills is pretty much non healable.
