They ARE technically armor are they not? Would it be possible to implement?

Not according to the AH which lumps shields in with armor. It really does seem to me the way most of the shields are designed that they would be dye-able... but it is not the case. Possibly some unimplemented functionality?boog wrote:They are "armor" in a sense but not actually armor in the game. They do not yield armor bonuses unless slotted with an armor talisman and are described as an "Off-hand" and "Shield". Meanwhile, all the other armor types that can be dyed are classified as x armor type. So they are NOT technically armor in the eyes of the game.
It is an interesting idea nevertheless.
Funnily enough when you search for armor in the Auction House, shields come up due to the fact their block rating is determined by giving them a subsequent armor value. So technically they ARE armor.PartizanRUS wrote:Shields are weapons.
