Return of Reckoning

Hi there,

I have successfully installed RoR and played it for a while, than i started to recieve this error:

Data.myp:
System.Exception: You need to stop application currently using the following file: data.myp
at MYPHandler.MYPHandler.WriteFileToArchive(FileInArchive archFile, MemoryStream MS)
at MYPHandler.MYPHandler.ReplaceFile(FileInArchive archFile, FileStream newFile)
at RoRLauncher.Client.UpdateWarData()

resulting in Display driver stopped responding...

I play other games and dont have this problem. Tried with reinstalling drivers...doesnt change anything.


Any advice would be appriciated.

I used to get that message alot after I upgraded to windows 10. I was getting it from a few games that I had never had issues with till I upgraded.I went back to windows 8.1 and havnt had a problem since.

Ive had this problem in the past, i had to roll back to a previous driver several times, maybe try looking for an older driver to install.

I also got this on another PC, this was the leading signs to my graphics card dying.

yeah at first i thought that graphic card was on its end but other newer games are running fine...only this one from 2008 is giving me problems for reasons unknown...i have tried all sorts of drivers old and new

What kind of Video card? ATI? Nvidia?

since the problem start when i launch RoR and loading screen freezes prompting me to desktop i started alt+tabing between the game and desktop for a few times and then it lets me in.

this process can go from few tries to 15 min than eventually i can play without problems...

weird ass ****...if this info helps to shine a light on the issue i would appreciate it

i dont understand whats the deal with this game...2 hours and 30 restarts later and still cant get in...
