so , i was in a SC where i saw people bitching other people because they wasnt playing the right way...let me explain :
There were a 2 handed BG doing his thing and i think a DoK dual wielded , certainly for dps purpose too .
People was being mean to them because the BG wasnt apparently tanking/guarding and the DoK wasnt healing... anyway , you people know what i mean .
NOW , I WANT TO TEL TO THE OTHER PEOPLE "cussing" AT THEM TO LET PEOPLE PLAY THEIR CLASSES THE **** THEY WANT TO PLAY THEM , YES , WE GOT IT , YOUR "SURVIVABILITY" AND YOUR APPARENT "SUCCESSFULLNESS" RELY ON THE "GROUP" .
BUT LOOK , THEY GAVE US 3 TREES/SPEC. TO PLAY WITH , SO , WE WILL PLAY THE HECK WE WANT TO , BECAUSE WE OR THEY LIKE IT AND IF YOU STILL UPSET ABOUT IT , YOU CAN GO GET YOUR REAL LIFE FRIEND TO ACCOMPANY YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY THROUGH THIS GAME " get some friend in real life and dont forget to bring them to warhammer universe as well" .

Meh. Play the spec you find the most fun. If that includes group play/assistance then awesome. If not, that is why one is able to solo queue/pug WB. You can ignore people. Or just laugh.

The caps was a little excessive though.

Theres a difference between being deadweight and playing an alternative spec. The examples you listed are definitely able to be useful.

DPS shamans on the other hand...

SEE , this ^... If he doesnt want to take 50% of your damage he doesnt have to , IT IS HIS CHOICE , BECAUSE HE HAS THE CHOICE . He might evantually learn too , but dont oblige people , let them play how they want .

I disagree. I play DPS SnB and I have been in COUNTLESS scenarios where all the DPS in my group are far to busy beating on tanks instead of attacking healers or charging in mindlessly into a group being EXTREMELY outnumbered or blatantly ignoring healers being attacked by DPS. Obviously there are other people to float guard to like the healers when they are taking a pounding.

But when I am in the front lines or in the enemy backlines and DPS are just beating on tanks or DPS they clearly wont be able to kill because they are being healed I am not going to take 50% of their damage so they can keep being stupid while I am actually trying to accomplish something. And if our healers and other DPS are fine I am not going to guard a dumb MDPS just because people think that as a tank I should automatically use guard.

Attack smart targets, protect your squishies, and don't charge into 2 groups solo and you will get my guard all day long. I you don't then I have 0 problem watching you take damage. I got squishies to kill.

It's assumed that your groupmates are competent when discussing role, isn't it?

Yes because otherwise we enter in the slippery slope of assuming people doesnt have keyboards, hands, proper brain functions or its a life form based on carbon.

I am referring to tanks who, from the get go, flat out refuse to use their guard - disregarding group's competency/if group winning or not. This warrants a class reroll/brain scan - no ifs or buts about it.
