Return of Reckoning

Does anyone else who uses Ventrilo for RoR have the following issue: Vent works great, except in RoR. In RoR, pushing the chat key does nothing...

I checked key binds and RoR itself doesn't have the Control key bound. I tried changing the key -- no matter what key I bind, same issue occurs.

Any thoughts?

run voice programs as admin

I've used the same vent for years and it always worked flawlessly when I ran as admin in any game that I ever played but for some reason, that I still haven't figured out, it either randomly stops working or won't even start working as long as RoR is playing. I've given up on it because of this and started using GameVox which at this point seems reliable.

Run as Admin fixed it.

I'm sure plenty of people still use it. Heaven forbid there are those of us that use a program that works just fine. No need to check out the latest and "greatest".

Ventrilo still has the best features for semi advanced users. For install and go users who care little about cool options like voice equalization, newer voids are for them.

Anyways, I had this issue in several voips. Like they said running the voips in administration works. But another way of solving it is making sure war.exe isn't set to compatability mode (such as always run as admin). That was my issue.
