New Punishment

My suggestion is a PM ban. Basically with the punishment applied you can't send anyone a personal message unless they have you on their friends list.
This sort of punishment would be good for people who run their mouth to much, are salty, don't like being killed by noobs ect. It would provide an alternative to actual game bans and could liberally be applied by gm's,
Thoughts?

A simple method is to implement a black list rather than a punnishemnt; put players in and out of your black. just like how we have a green list (friends) and blue list (suggested friends), putting someone on their black list will prevent them from sending any message to you or seeing a message in any chat whether it be /s, /shout, etc etc. I think i've suggested this before but i cannot recollect the moment. It would prevent further harassment and anything similar, permanently or temporarily.
But i think ignore is sufficient enough unless the the situation is perpetuated

Redundant. Normal bans work just fine.

There is ignore. You can always use it as soon as someone messages you shiz.

Well it was a thought anyway, maybe a bad one. But the gm's don't usually perma ban for **** talking first offence.
I just thought that after having a player offend multiple times to say the 1 week or 1 month ban level, there after you could remove any opportunity for them to offend again.

The idea of a "black list." This can prevent several bans of a perpetuated offense for just "**** talking." Bans should be reserved for exploiters and such IMHO.

Although this suggestion prevents players from sending hidden personal attacks by way of PM, it wouldn't really stop anyone from being generally offensive. It would make it more direct forcing those with the restriction to use a public channel, which many more people would see but I really don't think it is needed.
I don't think GM time should be wasted applying restrictions like this. It's pretty simple. Everyone has the ability to interact with others in any manner they choose. If they choose to display abhorrent and disruptive behaviour they are breaking server rules and should accept the consequences.
