Greetings! So, this is ROR?

Hi all.
WAR was one of my favourite MMO's of all time. I can't believe i didn't think to search for a private server sooner. So glad i found this. It looks like the real deal!
Firstly, is this a MYTHICLIKE version of AoR in Alpha phase? I'm not interested in playing 2x rates, or 50x rates, extra drops, etc. I want the real deal. RoR doesn' give much information about its project under the 'About' section. Is there someone/somewhere i can get filled in?
Second, the population alludes to a 150 limit? Is this purely for Alpha purposes, does RoR have the ability to increase capacity in the future with a larger, stable server?
Third, where can i see an overall progress/completed status of the Alpha, IE: What content is in, and what content is out, etc?
Thank you for your time. I'll be downloading the Alpha tonight for testing!

Hi and welcome. I can answer the first and third of your questions.
This server is Mythic-like. The developers intend to recreate the game just as it was on live, to the best of their ability.
A quick rundown of the content would be:
Maps: Empire/Chaos T1, Dwarf/Greenskin T1, Altdorf and IC, with The Blighted Isle / Chrace in near future
Cap: R10/RR20
Features: Vendors, Scenarios (no end EXP), BOs (no capture exp), AH, limited party UI support, limited quest support
Combat:

I'll give you the tl;dr, I guess, and someone can correct me.
1. Plan is to end up Mythiclike, yes. I'd hope they tweak it from there to reflect the nature of the game/server not being a giant time sink to sponge up subscription dollars by tuning gear drops and leveling progression, but I expect the philosophy long-term is to remain true-to-form. So people will probably still play for gear instead of for WAR (but that's only speculation) (and slightly tongue-in-cheek).
2. No ideas on this.
3. Empire/Chaos and Dwarf/Greenskin T1 are available, as are the capital cities. Quests are fairly functional except some that require interaction with world objects (those are hit and miss). There's a thread on the General board discussion which class abilities do/do not work. There is one scenario active at a time and win/loss rewards don't work so they're basically meatgrinders -- currently Ekrund, but Nordenwatch has also been available. You're capped at Rank 10/Renown Rank 20. Lakes are there and BOs are functional, but no Medallions (afaik) or capture/zone capture ticks. AH is in, vendors are mostly in, party GUI is wonky, lots of mods do work.
Edit: You keep beating me to these posts.

Brilliant, thank you for the quick reply and information!
I'm 25 years old and i am frankly sick of the modern genre. I follow (and test) a lot of EMU's for the various greats. I'm part of a very long-standing Star Wars Galaxies emulator and i dabble in vanilla WOW too. I think i have quite a good grasp on what it takes to make these things a success. Capping levels and zones, IMO, seems like a clever approach to getting things functional, quicker. And it makes things easier to test.

Again, thank you very much. You've made a good impression on the type of community here already!
