About those items lost from crashes...

Hey guys,

i guess that concerns a lot of people until right now, so i figured i would try to raise awareness for something that could possibly prevent that from happening.

As a lot of other guys lost stuff at the recent CRASH yesterday (the one with the guild bug) and also today (a few mins ago). i aswell yesterday lost my freshly bought SC 1h Weapon for my Marauder that had cost 440 Officer Emblems, as well as the emblems themselves ofc.

*WARNING* This is not a whine thread, so if you are trying to do so, stop reading here and go do smth else! I know i won´t get anything back, what is unfortunate, but i am trying to stop that from happening in the future for all of us.

To continue to maybe find a SOLUTION to this PROBLEM:
i was given an explanation, that the "SAVE TIMER" that currency and the items use, are different.

So if you log out or on server restart/crash your currency (gold/emblems/medaillons) gets saved.
But those items use a completely different timer/mechanism to get saved.

In my case i bought the weapon a few seconds before the server crashed, so my currency (which was without those 440 emblems, because i already spent them) was saved, but the item (which savemechanism wasn´t triggered) was rerolled.

i have no idea about the specific mechanisms in RoR and i don´t know what is possible for the Devs to change/achieve, but with this post i want to raise AWARENESS, that maybe somewhere in the future this mechanisms or SAVE TIMERS get put together, to prevent a lot of headaches and frustrations for the player/testerbase.

My advice, move on. Let the dev's focus on fixing the game get back to what matters most. Grinding Medallions :)

as is said, i have moved on.

Obviously this is not a priority 1 problem, but still an issue that needs handling somewhere in the future.
Therefore this post has its right to exist and needs to be out there. This is a early version of the game and therefore needs feedback.
