[Witch Hunter] Fervour

Why not turn Fervour into a single hit DoT?

As I've repeatedly stated, I feel like multi application DoT really doesn't become Assassin like class. On Knight it is more than ok(especially when coupled with other things like OYG, Shining etc) because it is a tank, but on squishy as fk mDPS? No. Just say no and listen to the brain. It's a similar situation like with Orders / Auras twisting...it's an extraneous antiquated piece of game design that shouldn't exist.

This is something that bothered me for quite some while, so all your comments are welcome.

Back in the day I had the thought that Fervor should still be a 3 stack DoT, but any applications after that would deal the DoT damage immediately. It's not as much up front damage as Razor Strike, but it ramps up higher over time, just like the tree is supposed to do.

Fervor into a single hit DoT with the full effect(as if 3 hits) would be greatly OP, especially for WHs. Which would mean that the total amount of damage would need to be lowered(to work out for 3GCDs vs 1) You don't HAVE to stack it 3x... It hits for damage and has a DoT, it is a good ability as it stands. I find that I only stack it when I am on Door, PvE, or a "long" running duel. I use Fervor, but I have other abilities to use. And no, I don't believe that proves your point. Just because I feel that other attacks are a better usage of my GCDs doesn't mean the ability needs that large of a boost.

And remember with Fervor, or other equivilants, once you get x3, you just need to hit with 1 to reset the full timer, and it stays at x3. Fervor can tick very well. Also, you don't need to spam it x3. It has a 9sec tick, so if you just put it in your attack cycle(and don't spam torment), it will get to x3 naturally.

And the talk about assassin class is irrelevant. The WH has PLENTY of spike damage potential via other abilities. If you want a DoT build, then Fervor(and the Mastery Tree) is sweet. If you want to maximize your damage per GCD, then maybe a different path/strategy.

my 2 cents
