Return of Reckoning

Hello, I'm still fairly new to this game, but my SH just hits the level 40, so I have some questions:

What's the best gear set for a SH?

Of course I've already asked this in the game chat, and I had different answers.
Some people told me mercenary gear is the best, and some others told me the duelist one is the best.
I don't know the set bonus from these gears, so I'm really confused.

And what's the differences between the two?

Due to the impossibility to see the set bonus without having at least one part of the gear, I don't know what to choose...

Please help.

Don't know the bonuses either, but Mercenary is T4 and Duelist is T3. So i guess Merc>>>>Duelist for most (all?) classes.

So, I guess mercenary is the best for dps?

if SH is similar to sorc/magus, then probably 4 piece merc and 1 piece ruin (shoulders)

For me it's 2 anni, 2 merc and inf reward resistance belt or 3 anni 2 merc:)

I dont think mercenary is same for SH as for sorc or mdps.
Its defensive set for us.
I still use 5 devastator.

I'm at softcap BS and 40% armor pen with Duelist gear at lvl 40. The Snare proc is really nice when getting attacked by other ranged classes and REALLY good against WH's. Dunno if Mercenary has this snare proc on it. But since you can reach softcap BS and high WS with t3 gear i'm guessing you can get even more WS with Mercenary. Crit is massivly overated over weaponskill in t4. Either max crit+ws or bs+ws. Don't try to ballance BS and Crit. My advice is take the crit you gain for free. And once you have 1kish BS focus everything else into weaponskill.
