This Server Has Closed Your Connection

Hello everyone!

So yesterday I had just finished doing the torrent installation and fixing the launcher by manually applying the d3dx9_34.dll into the Warhammer folder, and I had managed for the launcher to launch. As soon as I get to the beginning screen, it takes a moment to 'handshaking' and 'logging in' before portraying the message. 'This server has closed your connection; you have been disconnected.' To combat this problem, I've tried to get the suggested VPN ( it unfortunately wouldn't allow me to get past the launcher ), replace the data.myp file, and have restarted it multiple times.

It would be great if I could get some advice on whether to wait, or do something now to fix it ( possibly re-torrent? ). I really hope I can get the opportunity to play this game again like old times :).

Thank you~

Running the RoRLauncher exe as admin?

Removed read-only from all files the folder?

Check your AV/firewall and make exceptions for RoRLauncher exe and WAR exe?

Thank you so much for responding!

I ran it as admin, and made the exception for War and ROR Launcher, but unfortunately whenever I try to remove read-only from all of the folders and sub-folders, as soon as I hit apply and okay the settings just revert back to read-only. I'm not sure if there is a way to stop the folders from reverting back? With two of the three changes you suggested made, the results are still the same.

I think I had same issue on the beginning, and as I remember I fixed it by moving RoR folder to different disk/partiton.

So I have made it to where I have full control over the file with the security settings, and it still is not seeming to keep the box unchecked. I'll try to move it to a different partition now.

Update: So I copied it into a new volume, and I tried to start it up once again. Unfortunately, the results are still the same with no change.

Update 2: So I actually have gotten a new computer ( not because of this game, I needed a new one for work  ). I am going to try to install the game on there, and see if any new problems arise!
