So.. war lion issues

Greetings: I am told that some WLs are not experiencing the awful War Lion problems (disappering randomly, not attacking, etc). Many others, of course, are. So what's the catch? Is that a problem regarding single players/server/coding or what? Are GMs working on it, just to know? :)
I remember we had no problems in T3 (the lion was goin side by side the WL), but when T4 hit, it started to be a total mess and it's still like that.

A GM reply would be nice: thank you for the info! :)

If you set your pet to passive and issue every attack/stay command the only problem the WL has is disappearing through terrain. It happens very often while mounted, and I find it's pretty rare when walking/running normally.

It's not as bad as people as people think, a lot of the crying about WL I think comes from people who play with the pet on defensive and cry about "retarded pet".

Is one of the issues also that the Lions can just ignore walls and run straight up keep to attack people? I see the all the time.

I always use the pet on passive, makin it attack manually, and sometimes it won't do it unless u press another ability before (speed, brutal pounce for instance). As far as the disappearing goes, it's hugely annoying cause I often find myself without it when I inc someone.

Agreed wrt passive, though it's annoying when you get ganked and have to remember to make it attack :P Does anyone know if defensive used to cause lion to attack due to dot dmg? Seems like making it only work from dd might be helpful, but maybe that'd have other issues?

I find the lion disappearing extremely common though (including when not mounted), but that's prob cos I roam a lot and it seems to happen more often when you cross the invisible map boundaries.

Ya in ORvR it's a huge problem, to the point where i just desummon when i mount up and recall when i engage someone. Which sucks because you lose 2 seconds doing that.

Haven't had a problem getting it to follow commands though, I use "e" and "f" keys for those commands, maybe numbers bug out? IDK

Maybe we can set summons to insta cast but under GCD? (until issue can be fixed) Same goes for SH pets. It can get frustrating, specially in oRvR.

Having pet active 100% time is like guard for a tank. You can live without it but noone will call you useful and effective. W/out squig SH is losing so much that its not playable atm. You can lie yourself that its not a big deal, but when it comes to effective play (assisting, ccing for group members, kiting, defensive movements) your character is a cause of group loss.
(I assume for WL its even worse losing kockdown, silence, 50%+ crit dmg, halved coordinate attack, ranged snare)

I hope that GMs are looking into this, a feedback from them would be very appreciated :)
