There has to be some serious money behind this ddos, how else could it go on for so long?

Someone with a standard minimum wage job can afford a small scale DDOS attack these days

Perhaps he is doing these attacks and did not hire anyone
I wonder if the attacker got in touch with staff to make a request, or only is attacking the server without starting a conversation or ask for anything.

But I understand that it is not time to waste staff's time with questions, because the main objective geting server back online is not reached yet.

I just think these threads keep popping up because the devs and whatnot merely stating: ''we are working on it, please stop asking'' isn't enough for people. I feel like if they even gave the boring nitty gritty details on what they are doing, it would shut a lot of people up. Communication is key

It may not be enough to satisfy people, but it's the right thing to do. The devs don't owe us anything. Furthermore, publicly discussing what steps they are taking is a bad idea strategically. I'm sure that whomever is responsible reads these forums.
