Hiya, Heron here.
I used to play WAR right back when it started, beta and then the live game. I wish I could remember which servers I was on but sadly I'm so old now that I can barely remember anything once I've blinked.
So yeah, long time gamer, since the 80s.
Back to WAR...
I was in the Rock Paper Shotgun site clans Rock Paper Sigmar and Rock Paper Snotling, so one on each side basically. Used to mainly play a Chaos Warrior in Snotling and then a Bright Wizard and Warrior Priest in Sigmar.
Man I miss the game. I was an idiot and basically stopped playing about a year before it disappeared, to my eternal regret. Of course when it went bye-bye I realised just how much I missed it. So here I am.
I miss the achievement/badges you could unlock, like the time I just wandered into the White Wolf pelt that was hanging up in the woods. I miss the apocryphal stories like "you know if you stand here and wait then eventually a witch hunter appears and you'll see a bit of a story", only to stand there for two hours and nothing really happening. Those were the days.
I miss my old clan mates, and I miss the Warhammer lore.
So I'm back and I hope to see you out there.
