Hello everyone! I've got some questions

Hi, can't wait for this DDoS to be over. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that WAR finally "kinda" went free to play. I liked playing this game a lot, just not a "monthly subscription" kind of lot.

Anyway, I've got some questions about this server:
How is the balance between order and destruction here, population-wise? Who should I join?
Are the character creating restriction changed at all? As I remember, you could only make 10 chars per server, and they all had to be on the same side.
Are all skills, tactics and mechanics functional? I remember private servers of other MMOs being rather... janky. Some skills worked fine, some did nothing, some worked too well, and some made you fall through the floor.
How much of the PvP content is finished? How's ORvR and Scenarios? And city sieges?
How much of the PvE content is finished? I'm not just asking about dungeons and public quests, but the regular leveling quests too. The Warhammer universe was a big draw for me, to the point where I actually read quest descriptions. Preposterous, I know.

Balance:
Destro slightly outnumber Order. However things change regularly because xrealming is a thing (the devs refuse to do anything about it). Destruction have good rvr guilds and 6v6 guilds entering scenarios. Order have purely 6v6 noscope360 guilds with no large organised force, any attempt to form larger guilds on order results in disbanding and forming more 6v6 guilds. So you can see ORVR largely favours destro atm.

Skills:
From my experience playing mostly on Order they seem to function correctly. The most bugged ones are renown tactics, renown skills.

RVR:
Currently we have everything up to T4. We dont have forts, city seiges, conq armor+ etc.

PvE:
Some public quests work. Epic quest chains work. Dungeons do not work. Most regular quests work but map icons are bugged and areas dont update with destination correctly.

Thanks for the help!
Well, I guess that allowing X-realming solves the problem of population imbalance, so that's good in a way.
So t4 isn't implemented yet? Is there a level cap, or once you get a char to 40 you just stop playing and wait?

x-realming is an issue we are looking into getting rid off in one way or another in the future. T4 is implemented just not all of the t4 content and the level cap is just the same as live was before any "expansions"

also:

Welcome! I hope you will enjoy your stay.

Once the server is up please read up on .rules and .ror ingame as well as the TOS so you dont get into trouble with us GMs :P

WAAAGH!

That's Bait.

Just some additions:
RvR: is a work in progress ( no fortresses and cities) - things will be changed quite often in future updates.

PvE: A lot of PQs can be finished. AI and NPC scripting (movement, abilites) will be added in the future. Same for Dungeons.

Skills: Skills should all work with very few exceptions. Some might feel a bit wonky.

A exaggerated claim or did you fix some PQ in downtime? :P

Welcome! :D

Does the current version of RoR include the improved graphics options that were made available around the time the RR100 expansion was released? Pretty sure it was just improved lighting and generally everything developed a more 'shiny' appearance.

Thank you for posting this, I have been having a nostalgia fit for Warhammer and refound this server so I could start playing again (of course as soon as the DDOS thing happened :( ). I had these questions as well, especially the population thing because I am still up in the air on what side I want to play but I didn't want to be on the over populated side.

You can thank Torque. He was working like a horse to get them done. I only break stuff so he doesn't run out of work.

There is a "oouuuh shiny" option in the graphics settings. But I think it has been on live from very early on. (not quite from the start, but long before RR100)
The only thing it does is enabling a blur effect around light colored pixels.
