Hello guys,i have question for you,so what is better 2h blade,or shild nad 1 h blade?

Depends on what you want to do and on your playstyle as well as what level you are.

They both work quite well. Just depends if you have a preference for doing more damage with a lessening of defense, or prefer to be more of a tank. Although the use of "tank" and swordmaster do not go together as well as other classes. Swordmaster is usually considered an off-tank.

As someone who's just starting SM, like level 8, and looking to go 2H all the way, are you saying that 2H is more effective earlier or later?

There is no reason to go 2H as SM on lower levels even if u want to dps. With spirit dmg abilities you can go with shield and still deal dmg while not loosing any defense. Go 2h later when u want to spec for ED cuz it require 2H (I think)

Oh and shield also helps a lot outside of premade where you would draw less attention just only by wearing a shield

Theoretically 2h is more effective later but I've been leveling my SM in T1 in only 2h in dps gear and doing just fine. I specced into parry and dodge, have the dps gear, and am smart on kiting out of damage when I'm focus-fired. However that might change if I decide to guard someone... but I'm playing the class more as a mdps than a tank.

Pick whatever you have most fun playing.

SM is fine in 2h vs Melee Trains, you can get ridiculously high parry rates(70% range), with a good damage output.

2h SM struggles vs ranged groups, as it has no avoidance for ranged, forcing you to use Wall of Darting Steel to survive which is only available once you are r40.
Shield till r40, unless you got a group whom you trust.
