Return of Reckoning

Hi! I've finally reached the level 36 with my 2H DPS SM, and I have to say, it's a lot of fun!

But now, I have to choose which 2H sword I'm gonna pick as reward for T4 epic quests.
So, on your opinion, what's the best for DPS between Ninth Peak, Redwind and Dragon's fang?
Redwind has the best STR stats, but his procs is a defensive one.
On the other hand, Ninth Peak maybe doesn't have the STR stats of Redwind, but his procs is 10% chance to taunt target, which is not bad at all...

I would go with Redwind; its proc stacks with EF/WoDS and GW tactic. I hate to be that guy (jkjk I love it) but you are a tank first, dps second

Redwind was my first choice actually ^^
Don't worry I know that very well now!
And 2H SM doesn't need that extra taunt to deal damage.
But still, I was interested about that taunt procs, and why some SM prefer Ninth Peak to Redwind for example.
So, if one of you is one of these SM, I would like feedback about it.
Does the extra damage from this taunt is significant? does this choice of sword make you more fragile? Does this extra taunt stack with normal taunt? etc...

Edit: Cant you get both swords btw? Also get the absorb proc shield if you can, amazing synergy for SM and great for RvR.

Yes, each swords are from different epic quests.
I think I'm gonna go for Redwind then.

Which absorb proc shield are you talking about?

I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but what's the best looking 2-hander you reckon? I've got Red Wind for the proc, but it's not the prettiest sword!!!

Are you 100% sure it stacks? Last time I checked it didn't. Same thing with the armor proc from the BO shield (didnt stack with the BOs own armor buffs) which is why i went for the absorb shield instead.

If the parry proc doesn't stack with EF (I think it doesn't) then I would go for the 2H with a speed proc.

Speed proc when under constant 40% snares from most groups, and DoK 20% snare in like every grp.

The 10% increased chance to defend proc does not stack with EF/WoDS(buffs).

The one with the taunt proc has 3 stats you want and the taunt is just the cherry on top.

I do know it stacks with the Greatweapon tactic. Actually you are right with it not stacking with EF/WoDS. The absorb shield is the way to go for any tank until better gear comes out, atleast for rvr
